Ms. Uma Ramchandran,  the former Academic Director of ‘Indus World School,’ a chain of schools under the Career Launcher, an Edtech pioneer in India, holds a postgraduate degree from IIT Delhi.

 With three decades of her journey in the world of research, business and as head of  academics, Uma now consults non-profit schools, and non-profit curriculum designers. She is working tirelessly to help institutions nurture spirituality in education through a structured curriculum, and instill a sense of change, innovation, and research mindset in young children.

She has extensive experience of conceptualizing and designing 21st century K-12 curriculum and learning and training teachers and school leaders. Presently, she holds a position on the advisory board of Vidya, an NGO dedicated to the education sector.

A mother of a home-schooled daughter, a passionate educator and an academic researcher, Uma firmly believes the spiritual quotient is as important as the emotional and cognitive quotient. In her view, spirituality instills a sense of purpose and meaning in students, helping them grasp how their actions can contribute to a greater good beyond their individual selves.
